The Crossband setup

Back on the air

Set up the trusted Kenwood on Crossband and use my VX-3R to get back on the air with YRC. Now it is just a matter of time to figure out how to hit the repeater with an HT!

Basement done

Now its time to finish arranging my combination woodworking area/Radio Shack to get operating. Time is always the factor that kills!

Fully self contained unit with battery and charger and everything built right in to be a truly portable operating kit. I am using the FT-817 so though I am compromising on power, I have a lot more flexibility with bands and more importantly, battery life.

Antenna

Stopped by Radioworld today to pick up my antenna for FT817. Granted, that was my fault all the way for losing part of it.

Tried to buy charger for my VX3 and they want 30 bucks for an older model that isn't even the correct one. Sometimes RWI just makes me sigh, shake my head and move on... I don't think they care *shrug*
